Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
We had an incredible time celebrating our fantastic Lindbergh Teachers and Staff!
This year, we celebrated Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week (TAW) Monday, May 8th - Friday, May 12th, with the theme of travel/passports. The week began with our fantastic homeroom parents creating posters and door decorations for our Lindbergh staff.
We continued the week with special PTA coordinated events/themed days for our students and 55 staff members:
Monday - Breakfast pizzas from Dearborn Italian Bakery, coffee from Biggby and bagels from Einstein Bros. were provided in the lounge for our staff members. Students wore their teacher’s favorite color(s) or sports team apparel.
Tuesday – Snack cart from around the world for our staff members, including desserts from Tony Cannoli. The Heights Meat Market & Grill donated a delicious lunch for the staff.
Wednesday – Hawaiian themed snacks for our staff members, including frozen yogurt and toppings from Pinkberry. Students wore Hawaiian themed clothes (bright colors and flowers).
Thursday – Lunch provided (Rafic’s Falafel) for our staff members in the media center, with dessert donated by Dearborn Sweets.
Friday – Staycation/Pajama Day. Students wore their PJs and brought in their teacher’s favorite snacks.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation week is an incredible Lindbergh community group effort. We would especially like to thank Mathnasium of Dearborn and British Swim School for donating $15 Target gift cards for ALL 55 Lindbergh staff members, Siham Gellani for her delicious baked goods, Mariam Abbas and Maryem Hojeij helping organize and volunteering throughout the week & Amal Accra for volunteering her time and Pinkberry sponsorship.
Each day, 3 staff members were randomly chosen to pick an extra raffle prize! We would like to thank New Yasmeen Bakery for donating (2) $15 gift certificates, Giovanni’s Ristorante for donating (2) $50 gift cards and Safeway Muffler (via Mona Fawaz) for donating (5) full service oil changes.
To allow our staff extra time to relax and enjoy the luncheon on Thursday, we would like to thank our Lindbergh parents/family members for donating their time to watch our classrooms: Linda Ball, Abraham Alrfifeh, Fatin Sobh, Liv Morgan, Amanda Frisk, Layla Makki, Faten Dabajeh, Ameena Baydoun, Mariam Dakroub, Muna Aldhalimy, Diana Chami, Laila Elabed, Nora Farhat, Neil Rassas, Katherine Jaffer, Mariann Farhat, Hanan Beydoun, Zeinab Makki, Elma Omeragic Dzinic, Zahra Nasser, Sarah Sustekova & Elaine Tocco.
Last, but certainly not least - THANK YOU to our wonderful Lindbergh Staff for always going above and beyond for our students - we truly appreciate you.
