January Bingo for Books

Well… they did it again!

Our fantastic Bingo for Book Chairs - Jasmine and Julie - hosted another brilliant Bingo for Books on Friday! Lindbergh students and families had a great time playing bingo with their friends and took home a bunch of books (and additional prizes). The Dr. Seuss themed bingo night welcomed many Lindbergh friends and we had a blast!

A huge thank you to our volunteers - Sarah, Lindsey and Mark - we couldn’t do it without you.

A kind message from our Bingo for Books co-Chairs:

“One fish two fish red fish blue fish filled the cafeteria for the second Bingo for Books event of the school year. A rousing good time was had by over 100 Lindbergh students and family members playing bingo with their friends to win books, enjoying snacks and sharing laughs. Many came dressed in their Dr. Seuss apparel and recited excerpts from their favorite stories to have a chance to win extra books. Goody bags were also raffled off to some lucky families. This event could not be possible without the help of our volunteers and book donations. Please let us know if you have any books you would like to donate. You can drop them off at the school or we are happy to pick them up.

If you have not made it to a Bingo for Books event this school year, you still have a chance. Come one, come all to the greatest Bingo for Books Carnival on earth April 28th! This will be the last one for the school year.”

Jasmine and Julie have made the difficult decision to move on from being the event co-Chairs for Bingo for Books. Their enthusiasm for literacy will be greatly missed! We’re looking for at least one person to replace them as the Bingo for Books Chair. We would love to find someone who is interested before the April (28th) bingo event so that they can shadow Julie and Jasmine for the last bingo of this school year.
